Amaanah Labs is Building on Horizen

Amaanah Labs is developing its protocol on Horizen, joining a growing group of teams building financial applications where confidentiality is a practical requirement rather than an afterthought.

Amaanah describes its work as institutional-grade, privacy-preserving yield infrastructure for digital assets. Its flagship product, the Amaanah Vault, is designed to let users and firms put capital to work while keeping portfolio strategies and positions confidential, using confidential execution and selective disclosure so that the protocol stays auditable and verifiable even as individual activity remains private.

Why the team chose Horizen

For Amaanah, the appeal was finding the pieces already in place rather than having to assemble a privacy stack from scratch. Horizen is EVM native, so familiar Ethereum development tools work out of the box, and it stays neutral on which privacy technology a team uses, whether that is trusted execution environments, zero knowledge proofs, or something else. Alongside that sit confidential compute through Vela and an ecosystem partner in Tachyon, both of which Amaanah is building near.

As co-founder Shabbir Khan put it, "If you ask me why we chose Horizen, instead of piecing things together for a privacy layer, we get several layers already built here. The ecosystem around confidential compute is here with Vela, Tachyon has been our partner, and the support from the team lets us build on a strong foundation."

Privacy that stays verifiable

The approach Amaanah is taking reflects how privacy works across the Horizen ecosystem. Sensitive information such as portfolio composition, position sizes, and strategy is processed inside a secure enclave and kept confidential, while the protocol itself remains verifiable and only the necessary outcomes are committed on chain. The result is selective privacy rather than anonymity, so auditors and regulators can access what they need while the wider market does not see every move a participant makes.

What comes next

Amaanah plans to deepen its work with the ecosystem as the infrastructure matures, including closer integration with Vela and alignment with ZEN, the ecosystem's alignment rail and value-routing token, as ZEN staking develops. It is the kind of application that gives the ecosystem a reason to keep capital and activity within Horizen rather than looking elsewhere.

Privacy has a home, and it is getting busier every week.
