Bittrex Updated Zclassic to ZenCash Chain Split Information
Bittrex added some information to the Bittrex post on the Zclassic to ZenCash chain split. From the post, it appears they have updated the process they have for May 18:
- Stop trading on ZCL at 9 AM PDT (1600 UTC)
- Wait until ZCL block 110,000 happens, then make a good copy of entire Zclassic blockchain
- Clear all pending trade orders for ZCL
- Reopen ZCL trading.
From that point forward, there should be no further interruptions or changes to the Zclassic trading on Bittrex.
Then on May 23, after the ZenCash launch (sometime between 7 and 9 PM EDT), after Bittrex determines the ZenCash network is stable, Bittrex will enable the ZenCash wallets. These wallets should have the same amount of ZenCash as the wallet owner had of Zclassic at block 110,000 of the Zclassic blockchain.
A common question on the ZenCash and Zclassic Slack is, “If I sell my Zclassic after block 110,000 but before May 23 will I still get my ZenCash?”
The answer to that question is, “Yes, anything that happens on the Zclassic blockchain after block 110,000 does not matter to the ZenCash blockchain. You can sell your Zclassic after block 110,000”
