Successful Soft Fork and ZenCash Wallet Resumes on Bittrex
Dear Zenners (thanks Jane for the cool term!),
Three good news stories in the past 24 hours:
- A soft fork was successfully executed yesterday at block 117,575 that implemented the same replay attack mitigation we had in place upon launch on May 30th. This version extends it indefinitely. Available on the official ZenCash GitHub repository.
- ZenCash wallets were taken out of maintenance mode on Bittrex, so users can once again deposit and withdraw ZEN.
- BIP-115 additional augmentation to replay attack protection is successfully running on testnet. We have had zero instances of replays with the current routine, but you can’t be too safe! Expect this software upgrade to be available soon.
We’ve also had a couple media mentions that are kinda cool. In the EconoTimes, ZenCash performs software transition in partnership with blockchain startup IOHK, and Payments Journal reports that ZenCash Successfully Upgrades to Highly-Secure, Transaction Replay-Resistant System.
