The Horizen community is full of wonderful people from around the world. Vittosoft has been part of the community for a while.
Vittosoft is known for his active participation in the community, frequently joining the Weekly Insider, asking questions, and helping others. We appreciate his activity in the community and wanted to learn more about him and what brought him to Horizen.
What drew you to blockchain technology?
I became interested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies in 2017. I realized that in the “near” future, blockchain and cryptocurrencies will be considered a “normal thing”. These changes happen continuously. I lived through one of these changes with mobile phones, which evolved into smartphones. Now they are considered “normal”, but not more than 25 years ago they were reserved and accessible only to a small group of people. Now I consider blockchain in the same situation as the mobile phone of 25 years ago.
Why did you choose to join the Horizen community?
While studying about blockchain, I started to read, obviously, about Bitcoin and I felt that it was a big project, but I felt also that, in general, it doesn’t was what I was looking for. After that, I started to look for a project who could fit my idea of “perfection”, and read several whitepapers, until I found what it was ZenCash, now Horizen. I received my first coins in June 2017, which I obtained with my GPU. Since then I’ve followed Horizen, initially silently, but increased my exposure in Horizen due to the great work the team is doing.
Is there anything about yourself you’d like to share with the Horizen Community?
I’m hungry for new information, especially about technology. I’m passionate about anything that can let me learn something new.
