Rolf Versluis Gives Away 120 ZEN in Bounties for Spreading the Zen Vision!
In July, our Co-Founder and Special Advisor, Rolf Versluis (@blockops) announced bounties he personally sent to Zen supporters in exchange for spreading the Zen mission in their own way. We received entries in various languages and formats. He gave the community three challenges, and we were blown away by the responses!
The Challenge: Users can send anonymous and private payments and messages using the ZenCash Swing Wallet. In order to help people protect their privacy, Rolf was looking for people to create video tutorials on how to do shielded payments and messaging in the Swing Wallet. Tutorials should be both educational and entertaining. Rolf received so many entries, he had to extend the bounty from 12 entries to 21! Here are the winners:

The Challenge: It’s possible to send ZEN from a shielded to a transparent address, which is a good way to make anonymous purchases online. MindGeek, one of the largest website networks, has recently accepted ZenCash as a method of payment on their popular websites such as Brazers and PornHubPremium. In order to help people use ZenCash payments anonymously, Rolf was looking for a blog post or video on how to use ZenCash on Brazzers, PornHubPremium, Nutaku, or TrafficJunky.

The Challenge: Inspired by his interactions at Zcon0, Rolf was looking for 1-3 people/teams to port the ZenCash Swing Wallet to ZCash. He was looking for three versions of this: one for PC, Mac, and Linux. These needed to be developed, packaged, and delivered like the ZenCash Swing Wallet is with binaries from the current version of ZCash.

Wow … i completely missed that giveway as i was on holiday. Hard to believe the french version of the swing wallet demo got a 12 zen reward … its of poor quality imo, and uses a synthetic voice. Not really appealing (just 3 subscribers including me and only a few views). This channel seems to have been created just for that single video, there is nothing else to be seen there … and it’s called « Zencash France » !? Is this channel officially representing ZenCash in France ? If so, i think it’s time for me to start blogging and making videos too …
ZenCash deserves better reviews and representatives than that.

It was a community giveaway by Rolf, and I do think he was very gracious with his own money. It was fun, and got the community involved and learning some of the more technical aspects of the coin (not just speculation) and probably created some converts. That said, clearly some of the entries vary in quality.
If it’s important (and it is) to have the highest quality video demos in each major country to represent this brand, then perhaps community development funds should be directed to that. You can submit a proposal to organize the development of different regions wallets. Or, if money if less important, you can just make a better videos and contribute.
In the short history of Zen, a lot of passionate people who were not part of the team originally have contributed their way into actual roles.

Will the zencash.com blog name and address change and will previous posts migrate to the new address?
