Horizen Launches the Horizen Community Council

This is an important step in Horizen’s continued commitment to decentralization – and the eventual establishment of Horizen’s DAO.  

We are excited to launch the Horizen Community Council (HCC). The mission of the Horizen Community Council is to implement and maintain sound governance within the Horizen ecosystem.  HCC will serve as a bridge between the Horizen community, the Zen Blockchain Foundation, and other participants in the Horizen ecosystem.  It will address issues of governance, organize community evaluation of Horizen Improvement Proposals (ZenIP), and other topics of interest.  HCC’s formation is an important step in Horizen’s continued commitment to decentralization – and the eventual establishment of Horizen’s DAO.  

The HCC initiative will enhance community-conscious decisions by enabling greater involvement of the community in collaborative leadership of our ecosystem.  Community participants may join HCC as HCC Members who will have an important role in HCC’s development, including by helping to select HCC’s Advisory Board.

HCC will improve forums for collaboration through the establishment of Community Interaction Groups (CIGs), which will further democratize the ZenIP system.  CIGs shall be open to community participants interested in the development of the Horizen project.  CIG proposals will be presented for a vote by HCC and then to the Horizen team.  HCC will also serve as a ZenIP editor along with the Zen Blockchain Foundation, to maintain equality and transparency.
