Mandatory Software Upgrade: ZEN 3.2.1 Available Now!
The current version of ZEN, 3.2.0, is expected to deprecate (stop running) at block #1303000, which will occur around February 22, 2023, around 3 AM GMT.
Important Announcement
ZEN 3.2.1 will have a shorter deprecation period and will be phased out in April 2023. This was done in anticipation of the upcoming major protocol update represented by ZEN 4.0.0 which will include all the related functionalities to support the Horizen EVM-compatible sidechain (EON).
The update will first go live on Testnet before Mainnet.
Meanwhile, the EON sidechain was already launched on the Dune Testnet, bringing an explosion of community dev activity in just the first few days! We take this opportunity to also thank everyone for their continued support.
Please update your ZEN software before February 20. With this version, we are updating the deprecation height – be ready for the next big updates coming with ZEN 4.0.0!
The new 3.2.1 version is available to download on GitHub and through the APT repository.
If you don’t upgrade before Feb 22, 2023:
- Exchanges and Partners: you will NOT be able to access your funds until you upgrade to the latest version.
- Pool operators: ZEN will NOT work, and thus, you will not be able to mine ZEN until you upgrade to ZEN 3.2.1.
- Node operators: ZEN will NOT work, and thus, you will not be eligible to earn ZEN until you upgrade to ZEN 3.2.1.
- Full node wallet users (Swing wallet, Sphere by Horizen): you will NOT be able to access your funds until you upgrade to the latest wallet version.
