Additional Instructions for Voting on ZenIP 42206
ZenIP 42206 is open for voting. All ZEN holders have until 11/23/2023 00:00 AM UTC (11/22/2023 7:00 PM ET) to cast their vote via Snapshot. We’ve noticed that regardless of the voting instructions and documentation that have been provided and positive sentiment towards this proposal, some of the community members may be still experiencing technical difficulties in the voting process. We have identified four blockers that may be preventing some community members from being able to vote easily. Here are the solutions for each of these blockers: 1) Voting from a multi-sig walletIf you have ZEN on a multi-sig wallet, you are not able to link it to Horizen EON as this is currently not supported. Multi-sig wallet users can still vote by proving the ownership of their wallet that contains ZEN. Follow these steps:

2) Voting from a non-Sphere wallet
If you have your ZEN in a wallet other than Sphere, such as Arizen or a hard wallet, you can sign a message right from the application/hardware wallet.
If your wallet doesn’t support signing custom messages, you can paste your private key at https://getzen.cash/sign/, and produce the signature. The procedure is the following:
Paste your private key making sure you are in a private location.
Paste your EON wallet address, and press on “Sign”.
Copy the signature you have generated.
Then head over to the linking page to link your wallet to Horizen EON.
NOTE: Make sure no one can look at your screen, you may expose your private key. Do it at your own risk.
3) Voting with ZEN staked on a Horizen Node
If you have ZEN staked on a Horizen node, you can just sign the message with the command:
zen-cli signmessage %ZEN_ADDRESS% “%YOUR_EON_ACCOUNT%”
Then head over to the linking page to link your wallet to Horizen EON
4) Voting with ZEN stored on an exchange
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to vote using a ZEN balance that is stored on an exchange at the moment.
NOTE: miners may experience a discrepancy between the balance available on the explorer and the one available as voting power. That’s because the new Coinbase output is not seen until it’s involved in the first transaction.
The easiest way to vote is to vote from your Sphere wallet, follow the instructions here if you have ZEN on your Sphere wallet.
